Amy Smart

Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Her birthplace and childhood was in California, USA, she began her modeling career in Italy. Her first acting role came in 1996, when she appeared in 'Her Costly Affair,' the first TV film. After a very difficult transition, she landed a small part in the film Starship Troopers.' It was a hard time in her transition from modeling to acting because the models weren't usually considered to be good actors and were mostly assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Yet somehow, Amy refused to give up and began to take on bigger parts eventually. This began with a series called 'The 70's as well as the movie "Varsity blues'. Amy then stepped into principal roles on the romantic comedy film 'Just friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been waiting for over an entire decade. She went on doing some big films, including the 'Crank' series opposite Jason Statham and the series "Shameless," where she was a popular frequent character.
